ZATAR for iPhone

ZATAR is where the Internet of Things and Enterprise Remote Device Management intersect to bring whole new worlds to your iPhone. ZATAR is a new cloud-based remote device access and management service from Zebra Technologies which leverages Internet of Things (IoT) principles to allow you to connect a wide variety of devices to the cloud and access them all from rich applications through one consistent, secure, and robust API.

Login using your existing ZATAR account, or sign up for a free ZATAR account right from the app.

Use your iPhone to view and manage devices that are connected to the ZATAR service.

After you sign up, you can use your iPhone to view all devices in the ZATAR Public World, or view the devices in your own Private World. You can then register your iPhone on ZATAR, publish sensor data, and even make your iPhone part of the ZATAR Public World!

Many popular Zebra printers are already supported in ZATAR, with support for the most popular properties and settings right from the app.

But ZATAR supports much more than Zebra printers. Besides the iPhone, initial support includes NFC/RFID readers, temperature sensors, and even the Raspberry Pi!

Connect your iPhone or iPad to the ZATAR service and add all the iOS sensors to ZATAR. You can select all supported iPhone sensors, or pick only the sensors you want to publish on ZATAR. You are in complete control of your data. You choose when to upload sensor data by tapping the "Publish Sensor Data" button, so you know when data is being pushed to ZATAR, and which data is being pushed! You can choose to make your data Public, or keep it Private. Its up to you!

Also, if you have a TI SensorTag Bluetooth Low-Energy (BLE) device, you can also choose to publish the latest readings from this device to ZATAR as well. By connecting the SensorTag to your iPhone 4S, 5, or 5S you can use your iPhone as a gateway for the SensorTag. You can choose to publish all SensorTag data, or pick only the sensors you want pushed to ZATAR. Again, you must explicitly tap the "Publish Sensor Data" button each time you want sensor data to be published.

NOTICE: This app can be enabled to run in background more. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
